Memories of Ron Swan

on .

Recently the OBA was contacted by the daughter of Ron Swan (1936-41) seeking a copy of the School history for Ron. We learnt that Ron was planning to write up his recollections of his time at School. Now aged ninety-four, he must almost certainly be the oldest Old Bordenian.
Ron was one of the students evacuated to Lewis School, Pengam during the Second World War. After School he become an apprentice at Sheerness Dockyard in July 1941.  Ron has kindly agreed that we can share with the Association his memories of his school days and we look forward to the later parts also to follow.
